Down on Main Street, you may see a number of flashy modern buildings attracting visitors year round to our place of residence. This current scene makes for a very attractive downtown but amidst all the flash, you will find a piece of history. An original brick building still stands since the early 1900s and ever since about 40 years ago, it has been known as Perqs.
Keeping it simple with serving drinks only, Perqs has a few perks you may enjoy.
Every Thursday night, Johnny Keys hosts a Jam Night at 8:00 until 1 a.m. Perqs provides the drums and the PA, participants provide the rest. Individuals can stop by and sit in to play some classic rock tunes. If you have a whole band you’d like to perform with, call ahead before Jam Night time so Perqs staff can accommodate you.
And back for the third summer, Sunday reggae nights begin at 6pm. While taking a stroll down Main in this great summer weather, a refreshing drink and some chill summer tunes may spark your interest to walk right in.
Friday and Saturday nights feature live music and there is plenty of room to dance. Perqs keeps their calendar updated online with who is playing.
Happy hour drink specials all week long and all day Wednesday give a great excuse to stop by during the week. Not to mention the sports broadcasts and free wi-fi service will give you a chance to catch a game or get some work done.

Perqs is located next to Jack’s Girls and the walkway heading to the Strand.
