OCTANE ALLEY RUNS OUT OF FUEL

This is the old Martini Blues location off Springdale and Edinger (Marina Center) and was POPULAR, as the one OC Jazz/Blues club that came so close to the mighty Spaghettini in Seal Beach. Some people have said it was a combination of things like Cancer, greed, bad management -- as other majority partners came in. The story is an obvious personal one for many people. But when the business was sold and turned into OCTANE ALLEY, with dreams of franchising nationally...someone forgot to tell the new owners about the competition in the area. You know, like MICHAELS, CENTERFIELD, and even HOUSE OF BLUES.

The popular comedy nights couldn't even save the venue. Remember, when going into an area as a business owner or as a partner, the number one rule: swallow thy pride and research your market with a bit of respect for your market. Martini Blues could have made it to today...could haved had that cult-like Golden Bear feel of North HB. HB didn't need another sports bar, but needs the type of entertainment...adults could enjoy.
