THE "BRANDS" OF HUNTINGTON BEACH HAVE A UNIQUE and PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART HISTORY. FEB 17, THE TIME CAPSULE -- WITH ALL THE 2009 CENTENNIAL MEMORABILIA -- WILL BE BURIED AT CITY HALL. SURROUNDING THE AREA, THE CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE IS SELLING PAVERS, THAT WILL COMPLETE THE ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME INCLUSION FROM THE year-long celebration. Now, messages will be engraved into the pavers and set accordingly around the Capsule.
The deadline is approaching. Pavers are only $250! That's only $5 per year until 2059, when the Capsule is supposed to be opened. Laurie Payne of the Centennial Committee is organizing the Pavers. That's lpayne@surfcity-hb.org.
