Monkey House Cafe - Interesting Place for Lunch Meetings

Delicious food. Wallet friendly. Free Wi-Fi. And a large tree in the middle of the room with stuffed animal monkeys hanging from the branches? Welcome to Huntington Beach’s Monkey House Cafe. Sitting on the segment of Beach Blvd between Garfield and Constantine, Huntington Beach’s best kept secret is a cafe that stands in a class of its own.

With cushioned wicker sofas, wrought-iron chairs, and glossy black tabletops, the decor of the cafe is undoubtedly serious enough to accommodate a casual business meeting. Yet, the shelves-full of stuffed monkeys, the centerpiece tree with hanging monkeys, and the vines trailing from the ceiling amid white Christmas lights with (you guessed it) suspended monkeys definitely lends the cafe enough charm to keep you coming back--not that the food alone wouldn’t do the trick.

From soups, salads, to deli and grilled sandwiches, nothing on the menu exceeds $6.50. In addition, “illy” coffee is served with a wide range of freshly baked goods to accompany your coffee. And if plain coffee with lunch is not your thing, you can choose from an assortment of frozen and blended drinks from a “frozen white chocolate mocha” to a “chocolate mint madness” to a “mango-passion” smoothie--all for $3.25 and under for a regular sized drink. And of course, with free wi-fi thrown in to sweeten the deal, Monkey House Cafe is the perfect place to sit down for a delicious lunch or snack and get some work done at the same time. Bon appetite!
