Lug Yourself Down To Luggatti's (You’ll Be Glad You Did!)

Tucked away downtown text to the police substation on the corner of 5th and Walnut is one of the city’s hidden treasures: Luggatti’s Italian Grill. This is the second restaurant venture for the owners, who’ve been creating family favorites at Lino’s Italian across town on Edwards for many years. With casual dining on the patio and a more formal experience indoors (where the beautiful, well-stocked bar and cozy fireplace are located), Luggatti’s is perfect for any occasion. This reviewer enjoyed the BBQ chicken salad followed by The Great Pumpkin Ravioli and seriously wanted to lick the plate. My dinner mate gave the grilled pancetta-wrapped shrimp appetizer a big thumbs up, and the tasty chicken fettuccini alfredo could have easily fed two. In addition to an extensive menu of pastas, salads, seafood, steaks, and sandwiches, Luggatti’s also has its own pizzeria (you simply MUST experience the Mediterranean style) with take-out available. Best of all? With daily happy hour specials and a reasonably priced menu, Luggatti’s won’t break your budget. Check it out for yourself at 210 5th Street.
