Get Your Irish On!

There’s no need to wait for St. Paddy’s Day to check out Gallagher’s Pub and Grill downtown. With nightly live music, comedy nights, Karaoke and a packed bar, the venue always promises a good time. Andrew and Jessica Carr, who bought the pub last summer, kept most of the locals’ favorites (like low cover charges) but have added some great ideas like happy hour Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m. and healthy options to their menu of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and of course, specialty Irish dishes like corned beef and cabbage and bangers and mash. Be sure to drop in after 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, to catch the benefit concert for Natalie Kotsch, founder of the Huntington Beach International Surf Museum, and fellow Huntington Beach resident Renee Benson, both of whom are battling cancer. Hosted by local surf legend Bud Llamas, the event will feature the music of surf band, Inhale. Gallagher’s Pub and Grill is located on Walnut between Main & 3rd Streets. Call (714) 536-2422 for more information.
