The long-awaited drawing for the $25,000 auto raffle took place during the Huntington Beach City Council meeting Sept. 9. The moment came to draw the winning ticket among the more than 5,000 sold tickets that eight participating charities took part in as a general co-op community fundraiser (see Don MacAllister's Thank You on HBCOOL.COM).
Mayor Debbie Cook drew Ken Evans, co-owner of the veteran printing company, Carousel Press, as the winner of the main prize...details: The winning ticket was sold through Kiwanian, Dennis Midden of BrewBakers fame...notice "CARousel Press." It was fitting:) Many other prizes, too, including dinner at Ruby Palace Chinese Cuisine.
