The legendary island-inspired restaurant for over 50 years has turned into "KONA." The name reflects the wishes of new ownership who, as of June 2008, say that little change will come to the landmark best known for those fun Polynesian floor shows. Change. Well, the name for starters needed to be more contemporary, sure. There will be slight menu changes in addition to making the inside brighter. The remodeling will bring an overall improved look and feel to the back banquet room (recently home to the very popular HB Chamber Lunch Bunch!)...a new wesbite...www.konahb.com ...and yes, there's a grand opening celebration being planned for the near future. "I'm excited to what's coming, " said general manager Joseph Zofrea.
